Encaustic art is a way to tickle your imagination. What you see in the abstracts is what’s keeping you busy in your heart, mind and soul. There’s no wrong way interpreting my art. You can even turn it upside down. It’s your imagination, your fantasy.
I create my abstract art using pieces of colored beeswax and heating devices. The heating devices can be a normal iron, blow-dryer and rechaud. I also use several tools as you can see in the picture.
While making my art I’m still inventing me trying different ways to express myself. Not only doing abstracts, but also portraits. I take a picture of someone famous and adapt it in Photoshop. It’s a time consuming process, but I love it! Then I print it and cut it out. Finally it’s time to work it onto the encaustic underlay, mostly using black beeswax.
I love your art!
Thanks a lot Midwest American Girl! 😉
